Reiley McDonald has overseen Eaton Sales operations since becoming a partner with Lee Eaton over 24 years ago, following a ten year stint with Fasig-Tipton. As the sole owner of the company, Reiley's experience with the complexities of thoroughbred auctions is second to none. He advises some of the world's most successful owners in matters such as purchasing, selling and mating, as well as the development and implementation of thoroughbred related business plans.

Pam Stephenson

Administrative Manager & Bookkeeper

Pam Joined Eaton Sales in February 2019.  With over 25 years of bookkeeping experience, Pam held positions at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, Trapp Communications, Pomegrante Inc.  and Gainesway Farm before joining the Eaton team. Contact Pam for all financial matters.

Shanon Hawkins

Sales Coordinator

A University of Kentucky Equine Science graduate, Shanon joined the Eaton Sales team in 2013 following positions as Registrar for the Paso Fino Horse Association and Sales Assistant at Hill‘n’Dale Farm. With Eaton Sales, she oversees sales administration and is the go to person for all matters ranging from entries to shipping off the sale grounds.

Caroline Peterson

Assistant Sales Coordinator

Caroline graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2018. She worked for the University of Kentucky's Maine Chance farm during college while working the sales for Eaton Sales. After college, Caroline went on to work under Cary Frommer in Aiken, South Carolina breaking/conditioning yearlings along with the two year old sales on the Frommer Team. She is currently the Assistant Sales Manager here at Eaton Sales.


Caroline Tatum

Athens Woods Manager

Caroline moved to Lexington in 2015 after receiving her BS in Animal Science from Berry College in Rome, GA. She completed a breeding season with WinStar Farm before joining Eaton Sales as Assistant Sales Coordinator. Following the 2015 sale season, Caroline worked at Coolmore's Ashford Stud to further her knowledge of the breeding and foaling aspect of the industry before taking her current position at Athens Woods as manager.

Jose “Chuche” Chavarria

Broodmare Manager

Chuche has been with Eaton Sales and Eaton Farms for more than 17 years. He started at the Indian Hills division of Eaton Farms and now manages the broodmares and foals at Reiley’s Athens Woods Farm. Chuche is a magician with foals and a superb horseman.

Omaha Beach cruised through a five-furlong work in 1:00.72 Sunday morning at Gulfstream Park, his final breeze for Saturday's Pegasus World Cup Invitational (G1).
The first to hit big was Hip 448, a bay filly by Into Mischief out of the Indian Charlie mare Silent Circle. Purchased for $260,000 by Blue Sky Stables as part of a pinhooking partnership, Brian Graves, who signed the winning ticket, said the yearling was exactly what the group was looking for.
Three horses who will begin their stallion careers at Spendthrift Farm in 2020 were nominated for Eclipse Awards when the finalists were announced on Jan. 4th. The Eclipse Awards ceremony will be held Jan. 23 at Gulfstream Park.
